Кох, Да ли постоји „генолошки пакт“?, Нови Сад: ЗборникМатице српске за књижевност и језик, књига LI, свеска 3, Нови Сад, 698.THE NOVEL TROUBLED AND BLOODY [MUTNA I KRVAVA] BY MILICAJANKOVIĆSummary: This paper analyzes the novel Troubled and bloody by MilicaJanković as the intersection point of her artistic and real life experience. In thefirst half of the 20th century Serbian female literary discourse was primarilyconstructed within the framework of intimate genres: confessions, (auto)biographies, letters and diaries. In this way the authors were able to find theirway to the audience, while avoiding to disrupt the established androcentrichierarchy of the Serbian literary canon. This was initially the path which MilicaJanković followed. However, disease entered her life and transformed her artforever. In her works Between the Walls [Među zidovima], Along the Road[Putem] and Troubled and Bloody, Janković applied the narrative strategy ofprojecting life experiences onto the text, but from a changed perspective – dark,blurred by anger and self-irony. Although the narrative framework is based onthe third person, autobiographical, epistolary and anecdotal forms were usedas a way to encompass all the women in the novel. This is a complex literarymosaic, through which three main plots of the female identity expressionrun. In concluding remarks, it is explained that Milica Janković, through thetextual<strong>iz</strong>ation of women’s experiences, created a unique polyphonic structurethat can be perceived as gender-crossing of fiction and history, where thetaboo of female reality is transformed into art.
