HYDROLOGICAL CHARACTERISTICS OVER THE YEARAnnual mean precipitation total on the area of Slovak Republic in <strong>2010</strong> has reachedthe value 1 206 mm, what represents 158 % of the long-term mean precipitation total andaccording to precipitation it is assessed as the extremely wet year. The particularmonths were of different character of precipitation. Extremely wet were: May (293 % of longtermnormal) and September (200 % of long-term normal). The months June, July, Augustand November were according to precipitation very wet (about 102 to 147 mm had fallen onthe territory of Slovakia, what represents 163 to 177% of long-term normal). Differently, thedry month was March (64 % of long-term normal) and very dry was October (28 mm, whatrepresents 46 % of long-term normal). January, February, April and December belongedamong the wet months (121 to 145 % of long-term normal).
