1 高 崎 山 自 然 動 物 園 Mt. Takasaki Wild Monkey Park
A representative attraction of Oita. There are approximately 1500 wild Japanese macaque living here.
2 大 分 マリーンパレス 水 族 館 うみたまご Oita Marine Palace Aquarium Umitamago
Surrounded by the beautiful nature of Mt. Takasaki and the Beppu bay, this is an aquarium where you
can interact with the creatures of the sea.
3 塚 野 鉱 泉 Tsukano Mineral Springs
The only mineral spring in Oita city, keeping the old-fashioned atmosphere.
4 関 崎 海 星 館 Marine / Astronomical Museum “Sekizaki Kaiseikan”
An observatory placed at the easternmost part of Kyushu.
The Bungo Channel viewed from the observation room is superb.
5 今 市 石 畳 Imaichi Stone Pavement
The Sankin-kotai road which tied Bungo and Higo together during the Edo period.
It is said that Sakamoto Ryoma and Katsu Kaishu also traveled through here.
6 森 林 セラピー Forest Therapy
Forest Therapy is healing for fatigue and stress.
The entire forest section within Oita city is authorized as “a Forest Therapy base”.
