A Wonderful Opportunity for Action
The mission of the Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign
of Estée Lauder is to combat breast cancer by
providing awareness, information and elucidation
and by sponsoring medical research. In the course
of the last 24 years, the campaign has succeeded in
making women, men and families around the world
aware of the breast cancer topic, in collecting donations
and giving inspirations for effective action
in the fight against breast cancer. Evelyn H. Lauder
launched the campaign in 1992 and created the Pink
Ribbon Symbol. Estée Lauder and Pink Ribbon Switzerland
have organised the Pink Ribbon Night each
year since 2010 and this year’s event boasted an
exclusive dinner and show programme at the Park
Hyatt Hotel in Zurich on 30 September 2016.
The guests and supporters of the evening celebrated
a spectacular Pink Surprise Show with star chef Anton
Mosimann, who pampered the guests with culinary
delights. Music stars like Marc Sway and Anna
Rossinelli offered musical highlights and everyone
made a donation to support an important breast
cancer research project. It is after all a wonderful opportunity
for action in order to get closer to a world
without breast cancer.
“I am convinced that unity makes strong and that we
have to take joint action in order to defeat this terrible
disease which affects so many of us!”
Elizabeth Hurley, Ambassadress of the BCA Campaign
