6. CONCLUSIONES
En base a los ensayos, cálculos y resultados
experimentales realizados, las principales
conclusionesson:
1. La adición de las fibras de plástico (FP)
claramentecontribuyealaresistenciadelatraccióny
compresión. De los resultados se obtuvieron como
porcentajes óptimos para la resistencia a la
compresión y tracción, 2.00% y 1.50%
respectivamente, no obstante, se considera 1.54% de
FP como el porcentaje óptimo para mejorar tanto la
resistenciaacompresión,asícomoatracción.
2. La adición de FP puede llegar a afectar
significativamente la resistencia tanto a compresión
como a tracción cuando se supera el 3.00% del peso
delcemento.
3. Las fallas en el ensayo a tracción en los
concretos reforzados con FP a diferencia del concreto
común, no tiende a agrietarse fácilmente y aun
despuésderealizadoelensayoseobservólauniónde
todoelespécimengraciasalasFPensuinterior.
4. La adición de FP como reforzamiento en el
concreto también tiene desventajas en la
trabajabilidad con una reducción de 1.50 pulgadas de
revenimientoporcadaporcentajedeFPqueseañada.
