Among the first ten regions ordered according to GDP per capita dynamics, as many as<br />

9, regarding the initial GDP per capita value, occupy very far positions: from127 th<br />

(Bratislavský kraj), through 154 th (Attiki) up to places above 224 (six regions, including<br />

Mazowieckie). It was only the Irish Southern and Eastern region which was ranked,<br />

with regard to GDP per capita as 87 and with reference to dynamics as 10 th (216,5%).<br />

At the same time among the final ten regions (according to GDP per capita dynamics)<br />

there are as many as 7 regions from the first 50 ranked with regard to GDP per capita in<br />

1995. The remaining Polish, Czech and Slovak regions occupy, as far as GDP dynamics<br />

per capita is concerned, the following positions (brackets include information regarding<br />

the region’s position and changes’ dynamics as compared to 1995): Wielkopolskie (17 –<br />

198%), Praha (19 – 198%), Západné Slovensko (21 – 192%), Łódzkie (24 – 184%),<br />

Východné Slovensko (25 – 183,2%), Stredné Slovensko (28 – 182,8%), Dolnośląskie<br />

(36 – 179,6%), Małopolskie (39 – 177,7%), Pomorskie (42 – 176,4%), Podlaskie (45 –<br />

175,1%), Warmińsko-Mazurskie (46 – 174,2%), Świętokrzyskie (48 – 173,7%), Strední<br />

Cechy (63 – 169,9%), Lubuskie (69 – 167,9%), Śląskie (77 – 165,9%), Podkarpackie<br />

(78 – 165,2%), Zachodniopomorskie (82 – 164,5%), Kujawsko-Pomorskie (106 –<br />
