Alliteration<br />

1. (a) Read the poem.<br />

Timothy Tiger was timid <strong>and</strong> sweet.<br />

Today, he searched for tidbits to eat.<br />

He travelled to <strong>and</strong> travelled fro<br />

But not a single treat would show.<br />

He tiptoed up <strong>and</strong> tiptoed down.<br />

He searched up high <strong>and</strong> searched down low.<br />

Finally, with two tremendous roars,<br />

He took his empty tummy to the takeaway store.<br />

Alliteration occurs when the same sound is<br />

repeated at the beginning of words.<br />
