RuLa has installed 23 vulcanising presses in its new plant
RuLa hat in Zernsdorf 23 Heizpressen installiert
Modern technology in a strategically important location
At the 4,000 square metre Zernsdorf site RuLa has invested about
four million euros to build a new and highly sophisticated plant with
a daily capacity of up to 600 retreads. At the start of July this year
construction work was finalised and the equipment installed. As a
first step RuLa installed 23 vulcanising presses. They have been
fixed in an order that enables all components used in the production
process to complement each other efficiently so that short cycle
times are guaranteed. The result is a leaner production process,
which has a positive influence on the production costs of retreads
and on employee morale.
An additional new item at the facility is a very modern tyre unit,
the Marangoni ITT SFERA 3000. Jörg Wolter, RuLa’s Technical Director,
is very proud of this new asset as it works extremely reliable and
accurate: “For tyre retreading the ITT SFERA 3000 is ideal. It works
non-destructively according to the vacuum-shearographic method.
This can reliably detect belt and tread separations as well as
damage to the sidewall. The measuring system supplies us with very
exact results so we even can identify micro separations and sort out
defective casings before they go to be processed. This saves
a lot of time and money.”
In addition to the vulcanising presses and the vacuumshearographic
unit RuLa has installed a new, ultramodern
autoclave. This investment was for the new plant a commitment
to the use of the mould cure process. At its headquarters
in Schraden, about 50 kilometres north of Dresden, RuLa
has traditionally used the pre-cure retreading process, thus
the two factories, each with a different manufacturing process,
complement each other well.
When planning the new facility, RuLa also had to decide
upon a suitable software solution for the handling of orders.
This decision was not particularly difficult as in the Schraden
factory the retreader already utilises a very reliable process
and order transaction program (F/AR). Employees prefer to
use this software in their daily work as it is specifically target-
30
schon sehr bald amortisiert.“
Moderne Technik am strategisch
wichtigen Standort
Die RuLa investierte in Zernsdorf rund
vier Millionen Euro in ein neues, hochmodernes
Werk mit einer Grundfläche von
rund 4.000 Quadratmetern und einer Fertigungskapazität
von bis zu 600 runderneuerten
Reifen pro Tag.
Anfang Juli 2009 wurden die Bauarbeiten
abgeschlossen und die Maschinen
eingerichtet.
