ules and regulations in the criteria type, head and neck,
conformation, body and movement. Each criterion is
judged with the highest possible score of 20 points.
Everyone knows the existence of the disciplinary committee
at each show which carefully and exactly takes care
that the horses will be protected against bad treatment.
Nowadays all shows in Europe obey these rules and regulations.
The fact that so many show events take place in
Europe and that the scoring of the judges can be directly
seen lead to a very trained audience that is able to recognize
why one horse is better than another one.
In this connection it was difficult to integrate the All
Nations Cup into the European organization structure as
this event already had its own rules and its own committee
that was in charge of the allocation of the show and its
supervision. Furthermore there was the “Silver All Nations
Cup Trophy” as a worthy and desirable title.
The special features of the All Nations Cup were the following:
- the event did not only refer to Europe, but to the Arabian
breed worldwide
- it was a nation’s scoring and not a single scoring
- the Nations Cup Committee, being responsible for the
event, attached great importance to the fact that the
judges are selected and invited independent of other
European bodies
It took some years until all parties had shown understanding
for each other and until every possibility had been
reflected. The venue was discussed as well.
As the Chairman of the All Nations Cup and the President
of the German Arab Horse Society had been the very same
person at that time and as he had been able to weigh the
interests of all parties concerned, the All Nations Cup
Committee decided to hold the future events in Aachen,
particularly since Aachen had proved successful during the
past. The German Arab Horse Society was entrusted with
the organization of the event. The ANC-Committee concluded
an agreement that states that the event will be conducted
according to the ECAHO-Rules and that the selection
of the judges involved will be reserved to the ANC-
Committee as a privilege.
These decisions have turned out as very favourable and
advanced. Over the years the event has become more and

more popular. In the course of time visitors and breeders
have acquainted themselves more and more with the
venue Aachen, everybody feels comfortable so that an
orderly and harmonious atmosphere could be developed
that is appreciated from everybody.
The All Nations Cup event has developed more and more
to a popular center of attraction for breeders and spectators
from all over the world. The original idea of being
open-minded and of offering the possibility to compare the
best qualified mares and stallions in the whole world is
confirmed with the number of entered horses. 150 to 200
Arabian horses are presented every year in Aachen.
During all the years the German Arab Horse Society and the
All Nations Cup Committee have cooperated excellently.
New ideas were realized in order to achieve that participants
and visitors can always feel well informed and fine.

Obviously they have succeeded in organizing an event that
is appreciated as very experienced and informative. The All
Nations Cup show enjoys the participants’ and the spectators’
trust of taking care of a correctly running show and of
an objective judgment of the horses.
Participants from all over the world can experience how
much delight and excitement this show event contains and
how much enthusiasm each show class is causing with the
spectators via the unique quality of Arabian Horses.
To maintain such a show event further impeccable and
attractive is for sure in the interest of all who love the
Arabian horse in its unique beauty.
