USER INSTRUCTION
Unpack and Check
After unpacking please investigate the can opener for damage. Do not use the appliance if it is damaged
in any way. Bring it back to the dealership immediately. Insert the cutting unit and the can opener is ready
to use.
How to use
Lift the lever, tip the can so that the rim is under the locating post and the can is centered over the drive
wheel. Push down on the lever, make sure the blade pierces the can inside the rim. You may have to support
the can when cutting very tall or heavy can to prevent the can opener from tipping over.
When the can is opened, the can opener will stop automatically. To remove the can hold it with one hand
and lift the lever with the other hand.
CAUTION! Avoid contact with the cut edge of the can and the lid – they are sharp. Carefully remove the
lid from the magnet.
Tips:
If there is a dent in the rim of the can, open the other end. Alternatively, start the cutting action just beyond
the dent. Cans with heavy seams, uneven rim or odd shapes may cause the can opener to stall. If this occurs,
turn the can slightly by hand to aid the cutting action.
Don’t buy cans with dents. The content may be rotten.
Don’t try to open cans designed to be opened by another method such as a pull tab, peel-off foil seal, or
rolling key.
Frozen juice or food in cardboard cans should be opened as soon as they are removed from the freezer.
Aluminium lids will not stick to the magnet.
Bottle Opener
When using the bottle opener hold the bottle with one hand and the can opener with the other hand.
Knife Sharpener
When using the knife sharpener, hold the can opener with one hand near the top and pull the knife through
the knife sharpener.
