Die <strong>Bahn</strong>technikbranche in Sachsen blickt auf eine lange Tradition zurück. Heute überzeugt die Branche<br />
in Sachsen mit einer Bandbreite die alle technischen Kompetenzen in den Bereichen Schienenfahrzeuge,<br />
Infrastruktur und Systemtechnik für den Personen- und Güterverkehr umfasst. Eine exzellente<br />
Hochschul- und Forschungslandschaft mit einer langen Tradition ergänzt diese Kompetenzen perfekt.<br />
Die Verbundinitiative <strong>Bahn</strong>technik Sachsen (BTS) unterstützt die regionale bahntechnische Industrie<br />
und ist bestrebt den <strong>Bahn</strong>technikstandort Sachsen zu stärken und Arbeitsplätze zu sichern. Die Arbeit<br />
der BTS umfasst die Initiierung und Begleitung von Netzwerk- und Kooperationsprojekten, die<br />
branchenspezifische Weiterentwicklung von Aus- und Weiterbildungsangeboten mit den regionalen<br />
Partnern sowie Außenwirtschaftsmaßnahmen, die in Zusammenarbeit mit der Wirtschaftsförderung<br />
Sachsen GmbH und den Kammern angeboten werden. Auch die europäische Zusammenarbeit bringen<br />
wir voran - BTS ist Gründungsmitglied des europäischen <strong>Bahn</strong>clusterverbundes ERCI, dessen Aufgabe<br />
die Entwicklung europäischer Innovationsprojekte ist.<br />

The railway technology sector in the Saxony region in South-East Germany has a long and proud tradition.<br />
Today, the industry in Saxony convinces with a broad range of competencies. Accordingly, the sector<br />
offers technical excellence in passenger rail and rail freight traffic for all market segments - railway<br />
vehicles, infrastructure and systems engineering. An excellent academic landscape with a long-lasting<br />
tradition in the engineering sector en-hances the competitiveness of the cluster.<br />
The cluster initiative BTS supports the railway industry of the region and aims to strengthen the industry<br />
in the region by fostering cooperation between the network members. The scope of the services of<br />
BTS includes initiating and advising on network- and cooperation projects, educational projects. In cooperation<br />
with the Saxony Economic Development Cooperation BTS offers moreover industry focused<br />
business development activities in foreign markets. BTS is also a founding member of the European<br />
<strong>Railway</strong> Clusters Initiative ERCI. This network will deliver European innovation projects.<br />
