Coleoptera: Chrysomelidae: Cassidinae

Distribution: West Palaearctic Region, eastwards to Mongolia (Borowiec 1999). Only two
papers have so far reported precise data of this species from Bohemia: Obenberger (1910) and
Bechyn% (1944). It has been published from Moravia several times (e. g. Bechyn% 1944, Horsák
et al. 2001) but it was omitted in the Check-list by Strej$ek (1993). Therefore, recent records
from Bohemia and Moravia are presented. The specimens from Cho(ovice are the first records
from Bohemia after 60 years; correction of the Check-list.
Hypocassida subferruginea (Schrank, 1776). Bohemia centr., Srbsko (6050), 17.iv.2000,

lgt., det. et coll. Distribution: West Palaearctic Region, eastwards to Mongolia and West China
(Borowiec 1999). As in the preceding species, H. subferruginea was omitted in the Check-list
by Strej$ek (1993). It has been previously reported from the territory of the Czech Republic e.g.
by Bechyn% (1944), Strej$ek (1996), and Zúber (2001). Additional records from Bohemia and
Moravia are presented; correction of the Check-list.
