fatigue, illness, alcohol, medication and drugs
is irresponsible, as you are unable to use the
product safely.
Service
• Have your product repaired only by qualified
• Maintenance work and emergency repairs
should only be performed as is described in
the device.
• Use only original spare parts. Only these parts
are designed and appropriate for the device.
Other spare parts may not only result in the
loss of the guarantee but may also harm you
Notices specific to the device
• Make sure to always stand sideways to the
saw blade.
• When working with the device, wear personal
protective equipment (☞ Personal protective
equipment– Page 17).
• Use only saw blades that are appropriate for
the device (☞ Technical data – Page 25).
• Cut thin or thin-walled work pieces with finetoothed
saw blades only.
• Do not operate the device without the installed
protective devices.
• Always use sharp saw blades. Replace blunt
saw blades immediately. There is an increased
risk of kickback if a dull saw tooth gets caught
in the surface of the work piece.
• Do not tilt the work piece.
• Never cut several work pieces at the same
time – no bundle that consists of several
individual pieces.
A work piece may be improperly seized by the
saw blade.
• Never cut work pieces that contain ropes,
cords, bands, cables or wires, or any such
materials.
• Always keep at a sufficient distance from the
saw blade. Turn the device off and wait until
the saw blade has stopped before removing
work pieces, wood scraps etc. from the work
area.
• Before working on the device, always
disconnect the power (device without power).
• A stationary saw blade can lead to injury! Use
gloves when changing saw blades.
• When using the device, always connect to an
appropriate vacuum cleaner.
• Do not slow down the saw blades after turning
off the drive by side counter pressures.
• Round work pieces may not be cut since they
can tilt with the rotating saw blade.
• Do not attempt to cut curves. This device is
designed to cut only straight lines. Attempting
to cut curves may damage the saw blade,
result in rough cuts and possibly to saw blade
breakage. There is also the risk of serious
injury.
• Only ever cut forward with the device, never
backward.
• Make sure before taking your hands off the
device that the saw blade guard has returned
to its normal position and that the saw blade is
covered.
• Never reach under the work piece during
cutting. The saw blade guard cannot protect
you from the saw blade.
• Always adjust the cutting depth of the device
to the thickness of the work piece
(☞ Operating instructions– Page 22).
• Never hold the work piece in your hand or
across your leg when you are working on it.
Always clamp the work piece in an appropriate
