OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
• You can manually stop the water boiling at any time. To do so move the on/off switch (11) to the O position.
• Always close the lid when boiling water. The temperature limiter only works if the lid is closed.
• Let the device cool down a bit before boiling water again.
• Danger of burns! Always pour the water carefully.
Brewing tea
• Press the lid release button (1) to open the lid (2) of the tea
pot.
• Remove the tea filter (3) from the tea pot (fig. 1) and insert the
tea leaves or tea bag.
• Put the tea filter back into the tea pot.
• Follow the instructions in the chapter Operating the kettle to
boil water.
• Let the boiled water cool down for a while and then pour it into
the tea pot.
• Observe the packaging instructions on preparing tea. Remove
the tea filter once the tea has brewed for long enough.
• Keeping tea warm: Place the full tea pot on the heating
plate (15). Switch the heating plate on using the on/off
switch (14) (position I).

• Never leave the device unsupervised if the heating plate is switched on.
• Switch the heating plate off (move the on/off switch to the O position) after use and remove the power
plug (12).
Notes:
• Never use the tea pot to heat cold water or other cold fluids.
• Make sure that an empty tea pot is not placed on the heating plate when it is on. Doing so can damage the
tea pot.
Boil-dry protection
• If there is insufficient water in the kettle, the device switches itself off automatically. Nevertheless always
make sure that there is enough water in the kettle, as the automatic shut-down shortens the life-span of
your kettle.
• Let the device cool down sufficiently before you fill it with water and start boiling again.
