CLEANING AND CARE
Cleaning and care
• Disconnect the power plug (12) and let the device fully cool down before cleaning.
• Never immerse the kettle, power cord or base station (17) in water or other fluids while cleaning. Never hold
the parts under flowing water.
• Clean the outer surfaces of the kettle with a slightly damp cloth and then dry well.
• Make sure that no water penetrates the device (around the switch) and the base station.
• Rinse the kettle with water. Use a soft brush to clean the kettle if it is very dirty.
• Never use solvents, abrasive cleaners, hard brushes, metallic
or sharp objects for cleaning. Solvents are hazardous to health
and attack the plastic parts, while abrasive cleaners and
agents scratch the surface.
• Clean the filter (6) regularly with water. It can be removed
from the spout (5) for cleaning (fig. 2). Put the filter back into
position. Do not use the kettle without the filter in place.
• Clean the tea pot and the tea filter (3) after each use. Rinse the
parts with washing-up liquid under warm water.
• Wipe the heating plate (15) with a slightly damp cloth.

Descaling
• Limescale reduces the performance of the kettle. As a result you should descale the kettle at regular
intervals, at least twice a year.
• Use a trade-standard limescale remover and following the instructions on the packaging.
• Rinse the device after descaling by boiling water several times, in order to remove any residue of the
limescale remover. Only use clean, fresh water.
