GEV products have been designed and produced with the utmost care and
have been tested in conformity with the valid regulations.
The GEV guarantee covers a period of 5 years commencing with the date of
purchase by the final user. The GEV guarantee can only be granted if the
unchanged device, together with the receipt, guarantee card (with date of
purchase and dealer stamp) is sent properly packaged and postage paid to
the dealer or the responsible Service Centre. Include a brief written description
of the device fault.

A maximum of 30 smoke detectors 1 can be linked up with an interconnection
function. A cable cross-section 2 of 1 mm 2 should be used to interconnect
the maximum number of smoke detectors. The cable length 3 should not
exceed 450 meters.
Important:
• Ensure that the battery is inserted the right way round (correct polarity!)
• Smoke detectors do not replace insurance
• The alarm may not be heard in deep sleep or when under the influence of
alcohol or drugs
• In rooms exceeding 80 sq.m., or halls longer than 10 m, it is advisable to
install several smoke detectors

In the event that the guarantee claim is justified, GEV will then decide within a
commensurate whether the device should be repaired or replaced. If a
guarantee claim is not justified (e.g. after expiry of the guarantee period, faults
not covered by the guarantee), then GEV will repair the device at the lowest
possible cost.
The guarantee does not cover natural wear, changes due to environmental
influences, transport damage and resulting from non-observance of the mounting
and maintenance instructions or incorrect installation. The supplied batteries
are excluded from the guarantee. GEV is not liable for indirect, consequential
and property damage.
