Nachweis der Dichtheit gegossener Aluminiumräder
Leak Proof on Cast Aluminium Wheels
__________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
§ Vollautomatisches Prüfsystem
§ Kurze Prüfzeit (innerhalb von Sekunden)
§ Quantitative Bestimmung der Dichtheit
durch Angabe der Leckrate, wodurch ein
Vergleich der Prüfergebnisse möglich ist.
§ Hohe Prüfempfindlichkeit.
§ Hoher Automatisierungsgrad mit
objektiven Prüfergebnissen.
§ Hohe Prozesssicherheit
§ Reproduzierbarkeit
§ Das Rad wird im maßgeblichen
Endzustand geprüft.
Dem entgegen steht der Investitionsaufwand und
eine sensible Prüftechnik, die saubere Prüflinge
sowie ein sauberes Umfeld erfordert. Um die
Leistungsfähigkeit der Anlage voll nützen zu
können, empfehlen die Hersteller, die Anlage nach
dem Lackieren zu installieren. Wesentlicher
§ Full automatic operation test system
§ Short test time (within seconds).
§ Quantitative determination of the leakage
by statement of the leak rate, thus
permitting a comparison of the test results.
§ High test sensitivity.
§ High degree of automation with objective
test results.
§ High process safety
§ Reproducibility
§ The wheel is tested in the decisive final
condition.
The disadvantages are a high outlay in investment,
a sensitive test method, clean test pieces as well as
a clean surrounding. In order to utilise the
productive capacity of the plant completely, the
manufacturer recommends to install the plant
downstream after the painting process. A
significant advantage is the smooth and clean
surface of the test pieces.
As one of the first wheel producers in the
BORBET Group, Austria Alu-Guss introduced the
automatic helium leak test in 1995. The
recommendations of the manufacturers were
confirmed that an efficient leak proof test of cast
wheel rims is carried out best in the process chain
downstream after the painting process. At this
point the wheels are very clean and have a smooth
surface. The testing floor is also free from dust and
other impurities, which may occur during a
conventional production process.
These technical and economical advantages
suggested here are specially realized by the transfer
of the leak proof test to the end of the production
process. Beyond this, no additional process steps,
which produce costs, are required.
