Digitalisierung, Dezentralisierung, Dynamisierung
Ein Interview mit Etienne Petit, Landesdirektor von Veolia Deutschland
E-WORLD NEWS:
Auf der E-world findet man neben Dienstleistungen
auch viele Ideen und Visionen. Was
bringt Veolia in diesem Jahr an Innovationen
und smarten Lösungen mit?
Etienne Petit:
Wir zeigen mit dem ersten Veolia Hubgrade
in Deutschland nicht nur eine Vision auf,
sondern eine nutzwertige Umsetzung einer
innovativen Idee. Hubgrade ist eine intelligente
Plattform für Industriekunden, die
nicht nur zum Effizienz-Controlling von
Energieverbräuchen dient, sondern auch
Wasser- und Abfalldaten integrieren und alle
Analysen mit konkreten Einsparmaßnahmen
verbinden kann. Dies geschieht in Echtzeit
in einem Kontrollzentrum, das unterschiedliche
Standorte dynamisch überwacht
und entsprechende effizienzsteigernde Maßnahmen
transparent und nachvollziehbar
ableitet – eine Digitalisierung mit direktem
Nutzen im Betrieb also.
E-WORLD NEWS:
Stichwort Smart City –welche Leistungen für
kommunale Kunden haben Sie im Gepäck?
Etienne Petit:
Hier ist an erster Stelle unsere Expertise
beim Breitbandausbau in Braunschweig
durch BS|ENERGY und bei den Stadtwerken
Görlitz zu nennen. Gleichzeitig arbeiten
wir daran, unsere bewährten Leistungen
weiter zu verbessern, sei es die Einrichtung
von dezentralen, regional angepassten und
ressourcenschonenden Energie Effizienz
Quartieren, oder das Thema E-Mobilität,
bei dem wir mit Erfahrungen der Firmenflotte
von BS|ENERGY eine Vorreiterrolle
besitzen. Auch Sektorenkopplung und Contracting
sind Themen, mit denen wir uns
intensiv beschäftigen.
E-WORLD NEWS:
Das Klima-Etappenziel 2030 rückt näher. Welchen
Beitrag leistet Ihr Unternehmen dafür?
Etienne Petit:
Nachhaltigkeit und Ressourcenschonung sind
Elemente unseres Kerngeschäfts, Dekarbonisierung
ist erklärtes Ziel. In Deutschland
arbeiten wir derzeit an einer grünen Erzeugungsstrategie
und wollen den Kohleausstieg
weiter forcieren. Unsere Tätigkeit im PET-
Recycling etwa am Standort Rostock, wo jährlich
31 Tonnen Rohöl-Äquivalenz eingespart
werden, zeigt außerdem, wie wirkungsvoll
Kreislaufwirtschaft sein kann. Der Weg dorthin
sollte aus meiner Sicht aber noch dynamischer
verlaufen. //
Digitalization, decentralization,
dynamisation
An interview with Etienne Petit, Country Director of Veolia Germany
E-WORLD NEWS:
In addition to services, there are also many ideas
and visions at the E-world. What is Veolia’s
contribution to innovations and smart solutions
this year?
Etienne Petit:
With the first Veolia Hubgrade in Germany,
we do not only show a vision, but a useful
implementation of an innovative idea. Hubgrade
is an intelligent platform for industrial
customers, which not only serves to control
the efficiency of energy consumption, but
also integrates water and waste data and can
combine all analyses with concrete-saving
measures. This is done in real time in a control
center that dynamically monitors different
locations and derives corresponding efficiency-enhancing
measures in a transparent and
comprehensible manner – digitalization with
direct benefits in operation.
E-WORLD NEWS:
Keyword Smart City – what services for municipal
customers do you have in your luggage?
of decentralized, regionally adapted and resource-friendly
Energy Efficiency Quarters,
or in E-mobility with our experience in the
BS|ENERGY company fleet. Sector coupling
and contracting are also topics that we are intensively
involved in.
E-WORLD NEWS:
The climatic milestone 2030 is approaching.
What contribution does your company make?
Etienne Petit:
Sustainability and conservation of resources
are elements of our core business, decarbonization
is a declared goal. In Germany, we are
currently working on a green generation strategy
and want to further accelerate the carbon
exit. Our activity in PET recycling, for example
at the Rostock site, which saves 31 tons of
crude oil equivalents every year, also shows
how effective the circular economy can be.
The way to get there should be even more dynamic
in my opinion. //
Etienne Petit:
First and foremost, our expertise in broadband
expansion in Braunschweig by
BS|ENERGY and also at Stadtwerke Görlitz
is to be mentioned. At the same time, we are
working to further improve our reliable performance,
for example in the establishment
