Italo Cammarata
was born in Marina di Massa, Italy, in 1947. Today
he lives and works in Turin, Italy. Italo began his
professional career at some of the best advertising
agencies in Turin. Later, after 1980, he moved to
the field of design, and he applied the combination
of his experience in advertisement and his design
skills to industrial projects for companies such as
Yamaha, Subaru, Piaggio, JVC, Seiko, Barilla or
Porsche.
These activities earned him, in 1984, the prestigious
international prize “Compasso d‘Oro” conferred
by ADI (Industrial Design Association).
Since the beginning of 2005 he has been devoting
himself full time to painting, developing an introspective
analysis of the common practices of human
existence. Italo is exhibiting his artwork on national
and international art fairs - e.g. in 2014 at Paratissima,
Turin, Italy and Spectrum Miami, Florida, USA,
in 2015 at ArtPalmBeach in Palm Beach, USA and
ArtExpo New York, USA and in 2016 at ARTe Sindelfingen,
ART Sylt and Paratissima, Turin, Italy.
