Lemon originally comes from northern
India. During the 16./17. century, lemon
took off on its triumphal course in middle
europe, as it was estimated as „silver
bullet“ against the black death. Since this
time, lemon is liked due to its high content
of vitamin C and the fresh
sour taste.
Mandarinen
Tangarine
aussieht
• Der Name kommt von „Mandarin“, der Bezeichnung
für einen chinesichen Beamten, Mandarinen
stammen aus China
• Beliebte Winter-Frucht
• The taste of the liked citric fruit in a sweet, which
looks like a slice of dainty tangarine
• Name comes from the word for a chinese appointee
as the plant comes from China
• Tangarine is a popular winter fruit
Tangerines, originating in the region of India and southern China, have been cultivated
for several thousand years. From there, the tangerine spread over Asia. The first tangerines
introduced to Europe originated from Canton (China). They came to England in 1805 with
Sir Abraham Hume and have been called „Canton Orange“. From this origin the today
known „Mediterranean Tangerine“ has developed. In Europe this fruit is particularly popular
in the winter season.
