Rennserie „KTM X-BOW BATTLE“.
Verbundwerkstoff Kohlefaser hergestellten Monocoque.
Beifahrer.
moTeK – We Are in The FAsT lAne…
Between October 10th and 13th, 2011 you will find us on the
Motek in the New Exhibition Center Stuttgart. Visit us in hall 1,
stand 1182. Our employees gladly show you our product news
and of course the KTM X-BOW as well.
Beginning of 2008, in spite of the economic crisis, the Austrian
motorbike-producer KTM presented its first car on the Geneva
Motor Show, the series-production version of the KTM X-BOW.
Till today, more than 500 units have been sold worldwide by about
30 service agencies and dealers, 10 importers or directly from the
own production site in Graz (Styria) to the customers. Besides the
basic model “Street” (240 hp), the two model versions “Clubsport”
(240 hp) and “R” (300 hp) are also available. Sports car enthusiasts
can experience racetrack feeling on the streets starting from
52.500,- Euro net.
In the year 2010, this basic idea lead to the race series „KTM
X-BOW BATTLE“. More than 30 drivers compete in three different
classes on the famous European racetracks. The connection
to the Formula- and other race series is very obvious due to the
numerous features and safety aspects. For instance, the X-BOW
is the first series-production vehicle built of an 80 kg monocoque
completely made of the composite material carbon fiber. This
material guarantees the ideal combination of very light weight and
extreme high stiffness. Additionally, the Carbon-Sandwich-Crashbox
in the front of the car offers even more safety. And in case of a
rollover, the integrated aluminum or iron steel antiroll bars provide
optimal protection. Finally, these sports cars come with a fourpoint
seat belt for driver and co-driver.
