We would like to define ourselves
foremost as cutting edge electronic
music distribution. Practically, we
have realized that we built a very
powerful network, and we have all
kinds of clients in our database.
There are hardly any shops around
the world that sell only psy-trance
music – so why shouldn‘t we also
supply music for the other sections
in their shops? Becoming a one stop
distribution company where you can
find top quality labels and releases
for the whole spectrum of electronic
music is only one step forward in
the evolution of this company.
Now about Hadshot:
Anybody who owns more than five
different releases on Hadshot knows
that there is no strict musical line in
this label. This label is a reflection of
the current style which I‘m playing
and representing - and in the same
way that I change the output of the
label changes. For me, it‘s the only
way to run a label and stand behind
the music which I release. However I
must be doing something good since
the sales didn‘t drop even though I
completely changed the music style
and this label is starting to get a high
profile in other music scenes. It probably
would be a smarter move to
close this label and start a new label
without a background in the psy
trance scene – but I couldn‘t do it
because:
1. There is no challenge in it.
2. I love the name and the logo.
3. She is my baby and I will never
let her down.
About DJ Yaniv:
You all know that I was sunk quite
deep in a musical style that is called
psy–trance for the last ten years. But
sometime between 2001 and 2003, I
was completely burned out – no
tracks really did it to me. I was bored
of almost everything, and couldn‘t
really define myself anymore with
the style I was representing. Maybe
it was I that got bored – or maybe it
was the music style that decided to
stay in the medieval time.
I came to a point where I had to
make a choice:
1. Pretend that I like the music I
play and continue to play around
the world as a psy-trance DJ.
2. Stop playing psy-trance and start
again from scratch.
I must admit that it was a hard decision,
and in the beginning I didn‘t
do the right thing. But after some
time, I got tired trying to trick the
people by playing one Moguai track
in between two Astrix tracks. I have
also realized that people come to
these parties to hear psy-trance -
I‘m not their father or teacher, so I
shouldn‘t try to educate them and I
shouldn‘t fool them – or myself. I
should just try to find my own
crowd and parties that digs the
music which I dig.
Of course, immediately after this

Haheizar sollte das heißen und wurde der
Name für sein Label. Ein paar Jahre später
kam der Vertrieb Cosmophilia hinzu,
den er zusammen mit seiner Freundin
Bianca aufgebaut hat. Er wurde zu der
Schaltstelle psychedelisch elektronischer
Musik überhaupt.
Seitdem hat sich die psychedelische
Musik"industrie" komplett verändert -

without DJ bookings. But I‘m quite a
determined guy – I got myself a
new look, improved my label logo,
started to mix, and socialized with
different people from the different
scenes, and I can positively say that
in the last year things are moving
quite well for me as a DJ.
Will Hadshot continue to bring
new cutting-edge electronic
music according to the momentary
private taste of Yaniv?
I also really enjoy making those
licensed compilations such as
Chosen and Floor Filler because I
can just take the top records in my
actual set and license them. It‘s
great for people that play CDs
because most of these tracks are
previously released only on vinyl, or
are even not out yet since I mainly
hear them from white labels.
These compilations are very up-todate
and are full of hits. I get great
feedback on them and they always
seem to become sold out quite fast.
So there are definitely more of these
coming …
There are also a couple of new
exclusive acts by Hadshot to be released
on 12” and albums in the
coming months. The global direction
at the moment is pumping electronic
dance music without boundaries.

Cosmophilia ist nun Vertrieb für mehr und
mehr progressive Musik, DJ Yaniv spielt
Club-Musik und Electro.
Im Interview erzählt er, wie nach zehn
Jahren der Versunkenheit in PsyTrance
immer gelangweilter war und eine Neuorientierung
brauchte. Es folgte eine sehr
schwierige Phase, selbst seine aber heute,
sagt Yaniv, fühle er sich überaus wohl.
Erst recht musikalisch: Denn Hadshot soll
auf der jetzigen Linie weiterfahren: mit
treibender elektronischer Tanzmusik ohne
