The mission of the Portuguese Association of Wood and Furniture
Industries (AIMMP) is to represent, promote and protect the interests
of Portuguese companies from the five sectorial divisions that make up
the wood and furniture sector: wood cutting, felling, sawing and wood
packing; panels, other wood derivatives and biomass energy; carpentry
and alike; furniture and alike; export, import and distribution of wood
and derivatives.
The Association operates in strategic domains and provides specialized
services in areas such as Forest Preservation, Institutional Representation,
Internationalization, Digital Transformation, Decarbonization, Training
and Talent Attraction, Certification, Industrial Property Innovation
and Development.
In recent years, due to its vast experience and remarkable flexibility, Portugal
has shown a high degree of dynamism and creativity in the wood
and furniture sector becoming one of the major global suppliers.
Through Inter Wood & Furniture - a structured intervention program
dedicated to internationalization - more than 400 companies, through
more than 140 actions in more than 50 markets were supported with
incentives up to 50%, having certainly contributed to the growth of the
sector which, since 2010, has doubled its exports and expanded its destination
markets.

Founded in 1991, A. Barbosa is a company with a rich
history in the wood sector, equipped with state-of-theart
facilities, including sawmills, wood drying and flooring

experienced an exponential growth over the years,

Founded on April 1, 1997 by Mr. Joaquim Ribeiro,
it started as an individual business where the main
activity was the commerce of carpentry materials,
wood and derivatives.
Currently, with over 25 years of hard work and
dedication, JMR Filhos has become a symbol of
reference in the industry, relying on relationships
of excellence with its suppliers and customers to
have the best products on the market, always
striving for quality and the satisfaction of our
customers.
At JMR, we strive for responsibility, excellence,

distribution of Brazilian Tropical Wood.
Its partners Tap Timber and Luxor Timber, located in
Itaituba, Brazil, guarantee access to origin certified wood
of high quality allowing to satisfy their customers in
Europe just-in-time.
In 2017, Lumber began the production of deck/parquet in
Portugal, valuing quality, creating products diversity and
getting closer to its customers.

Constructions in Wood
​Wood is our product of choice. With respect for nature,
we bring this product to your home to make it cozy,
natural and unique. The structure of our rooms are
always made of wood. However, you can choose to have
exposed wood on the inside and outside or have an outer
covering in capoto and plasterboard on the inside.
CLT and Laminated Beams
Cross Laminated Timber (CLT) are solid panels
prefabricated in alternating layers and vacuum glued
with high strength and stability. As a rule, they are
applied as components of walls, floors, roofs and other
structures that require large dimensions.
Maintenance and Restoration
If you want to give your home a new lease of life and give
it a special wooden touch, we want to be a part of it! We
also rehabilitate bridges, walkways and large structures.

Strong Wood Floors is a company whose main activity
is the processing of wood for multilayer floors, solid
floors and terraces. Multi-layer flooring is a product
that, in addition to rationalising wood consumption
and significantly reducing environmental impact, uses
a birch marine plywood base and a noble wood strip,
thus reducing variations due to exposure to the weather
and humidity. In addition to the inherent advantages of
using the birch marine plywood base, we also achieve
the natural beauty of the noble wood top layer. The final
finish is the application of a Bona brand UV varnish with
6 coats or Blanchon UV oil applied in the factory.
In addition to the wide range of standard products, it is
characterised by a permanent adaptation to the needs
of the customer and the project. Strong Wood Floors is
