Runners‘ information
Arriving there
All starting and finishing areas are located
within the city centre of Basel.
Marathon and half marathon runners will
start in Freie Strasse next to Barfüsserplatz.
The ekiden marathon’s start is located
around the corner in Bäumleingasse.
The 1 /6 marathon starts on the other side
of the Rhein in front of the casern in Unterer
Rheinweg.
We recommend everyone to arrive by
tram (line 8 or 11) to Barfüsserplatz for
there are no parking spaces available in
the near surroundings.
With one’s race number or confirmation
of payment the use of public transport
within the TNW area is free.
Award ceremony
After the races the first three of all categories
will be presented and awarded
on stage.
The 1 /6 marathon ceremony starts approximately
at 10.15am, the half marathon’s
ceremony at 10.45am. The fastest marathon
runners will be awarded at 12.00am
before the winners of the ekiden marathon
categories will be announced at
2.15pm.

Changing facilities
A shower tent is installed at Barfüsserplatz
and can also be used for changing.
Alternatively, there are also changing facilities
in the nearby Stadtcasino.

Late registrations
Late registrations are possible during the
race number pick up on Saturday and
Sunday.
