SAE International Graduate College
Mit Beginn des Jahres 2008 wurde die Administration des
SAE International Graduate College (IGC) von Australien nach
Europa, genauer gesagt nach Großbritannien, verlegt.
Damit rückt das IGC nicht nur geografisch näher
an die Middlesex University heran, sondern befindet
sich dabei auch noch in einer Region mit
vergleichsweise hoher Dichte an BA-Absolventen
und damit potentiellen Studenten des IGC. Während
die akademische Leitung weiterhin in den
bewährten Händen von Prof. Michael Bridger
liegt, werden die administrativen Aufgaben von
Willi Wöber – selbst erster Absolvent des MA in
Creative Media Practice - übernommen. Darüber
hinaus werden die Studenten des IGC wie bisher
von ausgesuchten Mitarbeitern auf der ganzen
Welt betreut. Diese so genannten Academic Advisor
verfügen alle über entsprechende universitäre
Abschlüsse von MA bzw. MSc bis PhD.
Das Studium „Master of Arts in Creative Media
Practice„ ist momentan das zentrale Studienelement
des IGC. Dieses als „work-based learning
professional program“ definierte Studium bietet
nicht nur die Chance, berufsbegleitend zu

dafür von der Middlesex University Credits angerechnet
zu bekommen, die sich direkt auf den
Studienplan auswirken. Dies macht das MA Program
nicht nur für SAE Absolventen interessant
deren Studium schon mehrere Jahre zurück liegt,
sondern auch für Quereinsteiger mit vergleichbaren
Vorkenntnissen.

of whether the work has to do with the recording
industry, film business or new media.
An interesting aspect of this course of study is
the possibility of gaining Middlesex University
credits for work experience (i.e. in the area of productions)
and also relevant education and training,
which will directly influence the study plan.
This makes the MA program interesting not only
for SAE graduates who have been out of school
for years, but also for those from the outside with
comparable previous knowledge.

Destinationen wie China. Damit trägt das IGC der

der SAE Institute auf der ganzen Welt tätig
sind und ihnen so die Möglichkeit beruflicher
Fortbildung geboten wird.
Alle Postgraduate-Studien sind von der Partner-
Universität des IGC, der Middlesex University in
London, validiert und erfolgreiche Absolventen erhalten
daher auch ihre Abschlüsse von Middlesex.
Die Arbeit des SAE International Graduate College
wird sich aber nicht nur auf das MA Studium
beschränken. Bereits jetzt ist die Planung weiterer
Studiengänge in vollem Gange bzw. zum Teil

complete this course. The answer is surprisingly
simple – all over the world. IGC mentors students

recognizes the fact that SAE Institute graduates
