It was early Thursday evening when we left Hebrew U.,
170 students it seemed like a zoo
We arrived in Achziv, it was quite late at night,
A ll ready to begin, and to no one a fright.
/tchz-iv
We’d begin very early, Micha did say
A ll ready to go we cheered a big “HEY!”
The M e d ite rre a n e a n so close, the K in n e re t so far,
Would we really make it without a car?
The C ziv was beautiful w ith flowers and trees
was affected by insects or bees.
We quickly climbed up to the castle of M o n f
Soon the clouds came and it began to pour.
Before we knew it, the path took a turn
Many, many stones were calling w ith a yearn
“Is it ever going to end?” we all asked our guides
But we kept on moving w ith great big strides.
A ll of a sudden, the mountain appeared,
The end of the first day had come quite near
Along the road we walked w ith great ease
Soon a soccer field and rest would sure please.
It was Shabbat and day 2 all in the same
The enthusiasm continued, never a bit lame
The day wore on and so did we
From atop M t. M eron, oh what a sight there was to see.
We all gathered together at 9:30 that night
Standing at attention and remembering the fights
Yom Hazikaron was of much importance on this day
W ith tears in our eyes, the moment would stay.
