Another beloved day camp in Northbrook
is ‘Z’ Frank Apachi, a place North
Shore children have claimed as their
summer home for decades. The private,
10-acre campus with wide open green
spaces includes a brand-new playground,
two large heated pools, tennis courts, athletic
fields, a climbing wall and art studio.
Spending the summer at Apachi encourages
children to grow as friends, strengthen
Jewish identity and gain confidence in
themselves.
This year, the fun keeps going with our
newest J Camp, BIG IDEA, in Northbrook
(and we could not be more excited!).
BIG IDEA offers 13 technology
workshops to choose from — including
everything from coding and robotics to
animation and app development — and
empowers campers to uncover new interests
and follow their passions. Each day
blends time spent on computers with “unplugged”
activities, including swimming,
sports, art and games.
JCC Chicago J Camps have become
a right of passage for so many children.
Our expert and caring staff continues to
bring our time-tested summer experiences
to a new generation of children, while
constantly reimagining and innovating all
that a child’s summer can and should be.
