CAMBRIA COUNTY<br />
Prince Gallitzin State Park, a Dept. of Forests <strong>and</strong> Waters project<br />
under construction <strong>and</strong> expected to be completed in 1964. Located<br />
just west of Frugality, off Rt. 53, area will include surfaced launching<br />
ramp, gas <strong>and</strong> oil service, parking lot. Charge not yet established.<br />
CAMERON COUNTY<br />
GEORGE B. STEVENSON DAM, SINNEMAHON-<br />
ING STATE PARK—Located about 30 miles northwest of<br />
Renovo, on Rt. 872. <strong>Boat</strong>ing, fishing <strong>and</strong> picnicking facilities.<br />
CARBON COUNTY<br />
LAKE HARMONY-l 10 acre lake, popular sailing <strong>and</strong> motorboat<br />
area. At Split Rock, east of Hickory Run State Park <strong>and</strong> Pa.<br />
Turnpike Northeast Ext. North of Rt. 903. However to control <strong>boating</strong><br />
for the benefit of lakeside property owners the Lake Harmony<br />
Assa. last year decided that a permit be required for launching. Signs<br />
indicating no public launching permitted are posted on roads leading<br />
to the lake.<br />

CLARION COUNTY<br />

wide with a depth of about 90 feet. Good fishing on weekdays f°<br />
muskie, bass, walleye, northern pike <strong>and</strong> pan fish but <strong>boating</strong> tran"'<br />
is heavy on weekends. Along the shote line are such commercial aC '<br />
cess areas as Reimann's, Conneaut Lake Navigation Co., Klingensm' t ' 1 '<br />
Boyles, Mastadon, Nye's, Midway boat sales <strong>and</strong> Shore Acres mot' 1.<br />
Most provide (S-P-GO-C).<br />
Several other lakes <strong>and</strong> streams in Crawford County offer excelled<br />
<strong>boating</strong> particularly for the fisherman since there are restrictions °°<br />
the horsepower of outboard motors. They include:<br />
PYMATUNING RESERVOIR-Located on the Pennsyl<br />
vania-Ohio state line this body of water is primarily a wildlife retug<br />
area although fishing is permitted in certain areas with a 6 hp o ut '<br />
board limit. Launching permits are required. There are numero 11 '<br />
launching areas along the 70 miles of shore line with major acce ss<br />
areas at: Espyville, on Rt. 285 (GOP); <strong>and</strong> at Jamestown, at son" 1<br />
end of lake, Rts. 58 <strong>and</strong> 322. (B-GO-P-N)<br />
Drakes Mill Dam PFC access, 2 miles northwest of Cambridge<br />
Springs on Rt. 99.<br />
CANADOHTA LAKE —(10 hp limit)—West side of lake &<br />
Macresson beach (B-P-GO-N); Hawthorne beach, public park (P""'<br />
GO-N); Lloyd's store, below Cold Springs Park (B-P-GO-N); Not*<br />
End public l<strong>and</strong>ing (B-P-N). Canadohta Lake PFC access, 1 m' le<br />
north of Lincolnville on Legislative Route 20139.<br />
FRENCH CREEK AND CUSSEWAGO CREEK-b°< h<br />
offer excellent fishing opportunities but the use of outboard mot° fS<br />
is limited to 5 hp. Detailed locations of access sites are contained J<br />
the <strong>Pennsylvania</strong> <strong>Fish</strong> <strong>Commission</strong>'s publication "<strong>Fish</strong>ing <strong>and</strong> <strong>Boat</strong>ir*<br />
in <strong>Pennsylvania</strong>."<br />
CUMBERLAND COUNTY<br />

conditions not quite suitable for outboatd <strong>boating</strong>. Shallow areas an<br />
rocky bottfim make this stretch more suitable for air boats <strong>and</strong> sm 3<br />
fishing craft. Access areas, in addition to the Harrisburg maintain^"<br />
beach <strong>and</strong> launching area off the old river park isl<strong>and</strong>, just off &<br />
Walnut <strong>and</strong> Market Streets bridges, are as follows:<br />
