•ssion, the <strong>Pennsylvania</strong> <strong>Fish</strong> <strong>Commission</strong> <strong>and</strong> the Department of<br />
Crests <strong>and</strong> Waters.<br />

Presque Isle affords at least two public launching ramps. Both are<br />

stridor, off beach 6; while the other provides access to Misery Bay,<br />

rth of the Perry Monument at the lagoon entrance.<br />
Also there is Leo's boat livery, near the patk office at the West<br />
"d of the peninsula; hoists <strong>and</strong> mooring available on the peninsula<br />

Parating Duck Pond from Erie Harbor, with a fee based on size<br />
° f craft; <strong>and</strong> Denmark's boat livery in the Lagoon, near the Misery<br />

At present arrangements are underway for the construction of a<br />

launching site on the south side of the Erie Harbor entrance,<br />
"ear the Wayne Block House.<br />
West of Erie, off Rt. 5, are such launching areas as: PFC ramp,<br />
j acres, at the mouth of Walnut Creek (S-P); another just west of<br />
J~ a ke City, at mouth of Elk Creek, privately owned, launching fee,<br />
*~ per day (B-P-GO); <strong>and</strong> small craft can be accommodated at a<br />

ach launch ing area near the extreme western end of Erie County,<br />
f Raccoon Creek. A fee is charged for launching with parking facilities<br />
Mailable.<br />
Options have been taken on 17 acres of l<strong>and</strong> at the extreme eastern<br />
^d of the county to provide another access area to Lake Erie just<br />
L<br />
°yond Twenty Mile Creek.<br />
Also in the county access areas have been provided to Edinboro<br />
ake, LeBoeuf Lake <strong>and</strong> North East Borough Bull Reservoir. How-<br />
Vet<br />
outboard motors are prohibited at these lake sites.<br />
FAYETTE COUNTY<br />
YOUGHIOGHENY DAM-Located between Fayette <strong>and</strong> Som<br />
erset Counties. A flood control reservoir (U. S. Army Engineers)<br />
with 3,000 acres of water for <strong>boating</strong> in <strong>Pennsylvania</strong> <strong>and</strong> Maryl<strong>and</strong>.<br />
Launching facilities at: Somerneld, 2 miles west of Addison, off<br />
Rt. 40. (S-P-GO-N) Confluence, one mile southwest of Confluence,<br />
off Rt. 281. (B-P-N) Jockey Hollow, west of Addison, off Rt. 40.<br />
