How do I apply for admission
to UMUC?
Go to my.umuc.edu, click “Apply Online,”
then complete your form. Your UserID and
password will be e-mailed to you within
24 hours.
What is an EmplID?
An EmplID is your student identification
number during your studies with UMUC.
You will use this number to access the
many services available to you.

GoArmyEd Students: Please note that a
UMUC EmplID is different than a
GoArmyEd EmplID. GoArmyEd students
must register for or drop classes through
www.GoArmyEd.com.
How do I log in?
Go to my.umuc.edu, enter your UserID and
password, then click “Go.”
How do I get assistance with my
EmplID or password?
1. Go to my.umuc.edu
2. Click “Login Assistant/Password Help”
3. Enter your last name, e-mail address,
and birth date
4. Check what you need: UserID and EmplID
and/or Password and EmplID
5. Click “Submit.”
The information you requested will be sent
to the e-mail address in your records. If
you do not receive the e-mail, check your
junk mail and ensure addresses ending in
“@ed.umuc.edu,” “@europe.umuc.edu,”
and “@umuc.edu” are in your address book
or safe list.

convenient access to online applications, academic records,
and key student services 24 hours a day from anywhere in

How do I change my password?
After logging in to MyUMUC, click on
“Student Portal” in left menu, then click
“Change My Password.” Enter your current
password, enter your new password twice,
and click “Change Password.”
How do I find the schedule of classes?
From within MyUMUC
In the left menu, click “Student Portal,”
then “MyAcademics,” then “Schedule of
Classes.” Select the submenu item for the
courses you are seeking.
From outside MyUMUC
Go to www.ed.umuc.edu/schedule, click
“Current Class Schedule,” then select the
tab for the courses you are seeking.
How do I register for a class?
Find the five-digit class number from
Schedule of Classes. Log in to MyUMUC
and click Student Portal. Then select
MyAcademics > Registration/Enrollment
> Registration/Enrollment (submenu).
Select the term you want, then click
“Add Classes.” Enter the class number
and click “Submit.”
How do I order books and course
materials?
Student Portal > My Academics
> Registration/Enrollment > Order

How do I drop a class?
Student Portal > My Academics >
Registration/Enrollment > Go to “Select
Term” at the bottom of the screen > Drop/
Update Classes > Select Drop > Submit.
GoArmyEd Students: Please go to
www.GoArmyEd.com to drop a class.
How do I find my library card?
Student Portal > My Info > ID Card/Library
Barcode > ID Card/Library Barcode
(submenu).
How do I check my grades?
Student Portal > My Academics >
Academic Records > View My Grades and
GPA > Select Term.
How do I find my advisor?
Student Portal > My Advising >
View My Assigned Advisor

How do I request classes to be certified
for veterans benefits?
Student Portal > MyAcademics > Veterans
Benefits > Choose from Apply for Veterans
Benefits or Adjust Veterans Benefits.
How do I view my unofficial transcript?
Student Portal > MyAcademics > Academic
Reports > View My Unofficial Transcript >
Select Academic Institution and Report Type
> Go.
How do I request my official transcript?
Student Portal > MyAcademics > Academic
Reports > Request My Official Transcript >
Enter quantity needed and recipient address
> Submit.
How do I update my contact
information?
Student Portal > MyInfo > Contact
Information > Choose from Name, Phone
Number, Address, or E-mail Address >
Update information > Save.
How do I request my UMUC
degree progress report?
Student Portal > MyAcademics > Academic
Reports > View My Degree Progress Report
or Request Europe Degree Progress.
How do I view my financial account?
Student Portal > MyFinances > Finances >
Account Summary.
How do I pay my bill?
Student Portal > MyFinances > Finances >
Make a Payment > Choose payment type >
Enter payment information > Next > Submit.
How do I check my financial aid?
Student Portal > MyFinances > Financial Aid
> View My Financial Aid > Select Year.
How do I apply for graduation?
Student Portal > MyAcademics > Graduation
> Apply for Diploma or Certificate.
How do I get help using the portal?
While logged into MyUMUC
Click the “Help” tab under the portal header
