Intended Program Outcomes<br />
Within the overall outcomes of the AA degree in general<br />
studies, the specialized curriculum in management studies will<br />
allow students to<br />
G Apply knowledge from management-related disciplines to<br />
advance professional and educational goals.<br />
G Employ academic skills and specialized knowledge<br />
to succeed and advance in chosen career and<br />
professional fields.<br />
G Utilize academic skills to transition to further academic<br />
and professional studies.<br />

Coursework for AA in General Studies<br />
with Management Studies Curriculum<br />
The following course sequence will fulfill all<br />
the requirements for the AA in general studies<br />
while incorporating specialized coursework in<br />
management studies curriculum<br />
(students should note prerequisites and other<br />
sequencing requirements):<br />
G Management-related courses (15 credits):<br />
Chosen from any ACCT, BMGT, CMIS, CMST,<br />
ECON, FINC, HRMN, IFSM, and MRKT courses;<br />
GVPT 210; and STAT 230 (or 200) (contact an<br />
academic advisor for additional approved courses)<br />
G Electives (10 credits):<br />
Any courses related to interests and goals<br />
Recommended Sequence<br />
The following course sequences will fulfill all the requirements<br />
for the AA in general studies while incorporating specialized<br />
curriculum in management studies. Since some recommended<br />
courses fulfill more than one requirement, substituting courses<br />
for those listed may make it necessary to take additional<br />
courses to meet degree requirements. Students should consult<br />
an academic advisor whenever taking advantage of other<br />
options.<br />
Information on alternate courses (where allowable) to fulfill<br />
general education requirements (in communications, arts<br />
and humanities, behavioral and social sciences, biological and<br />
physical sciences, mathematics, and library research) may be<br />
found on p. 40.
