provide mutual assistance, helpful information, or <strong>the</strong> like: The Women’s Network is a great place to<br />

challenge yourself, meet like-minded people, and have fun in <strong>the</strong> process!<br />

I’m so excited to be <strong>the</strong> new Women’s Network chairperson and to begin our 3 rd year <strong>of</strong> being. <strong>Under</strong> <strong>the</strong><br />

leadership <strong>of</strong> Mary Hayward, we have grown to over 220 members and have <strong>of</strong>fered 8 quarterly workshops, 2 day<br />

-long conferences, and a self-empowerment series with Dr. Michael McCarty. I look forward to carrying on <strong>the</strong><br />

mission <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Women’s Network and to <strong>of</strong>fer many more programs that support <strong>the</strong> women <strong>of</strong> Berkeley and<br />

Jefferson Counties.<br />

One <strong>of</strong> my favorite quotes is “YOU’LL NEVER CHANGE WHAT YOU’RE WILLING TO TOLERATE.” What are<br />

you tolerating? Stress, weight issues, pain, being overwhelmed, relationship issues?<br />

During this session you’ll learn how to re-wire your brain to de-stress, reduce anxiety, and manage pain. Many<br />

times we talk about things with friends, a psychologist, or clergy and those conversations may affirm negativity.<br />

Through this session you can learn that when your body is in a flight or fight response you can use tapping to tell<br />

your body that all is ok and heal that flight or fight response.<br />

We’ll learn how to take care <strong>of</strong> what you believe stresses you – you will also learn how to take care <strong>of</strong> what comes<br />

up – <strong>the</strong> issue behind <strong>the</strong> issue – to fully relieve stress and pain.<br />
