The Chamber and the committee decided to make this change due to various reasons. One objective is to broaden the event so that more businesses and organizations will participate. Another objective was to reach out to the public that would attend the event and reach a larger audience. It will be an exciting and fun way to get to learn more about our community. We want to make this a "hometown" event and invite the community to personally meet business owners and volunteers from our local organizations. Potomac Edison worked closely with Macy’s and the Berkeley County Development Authority to extend electric service to Macy’s new distribution center. We also support regional efforts to attract data center operators to the Eastern Panhandle to take advantage of an ample supply of lowcost, reliable electricity.
