8 Rodney District Council 13 December 2007 Minutes 1449/12/07 QUARTERLY UPDATE REPORT – FIRST QUARTER TO 30 SEPTEMBER 2007 (FINANCIAL REPORT AND PROGRESS AGAINST ACHIEVEMENTS COMBINED) FILE REF AB/14/2 AGENDA ITEM NO. 7 The Director Finance and Business (Kevin Ramsay) circulated copies of the PowerPoint presentation made (copy on File: AB/14/2) and answered questions relating to: • forecasting of the end of year result; • the format of the Quarterly Update Report document circulated to councillors and made available for public viewing; • cash contributions; • depreciation and interest; and • the reason for the increase in maintenance costs. Kirikiri/Taylor That the quarterly update report for the first quarter to 30 September 2007 be received. 10.15 a.m. Secretarial Support Officer (Shona Alo) in attendance. 1450/12/07 ANNOUNCEMENT OF RODNEY DISTRICT SCHOLARSHIPS FILE REF GA/1/1; SA/1/1 AGENDA ITEM NO. 11 Carried The Mayor, Penny Webster, welcomed the successful 2007 Rodney District Council Scholarship recipients and their families to the meeting before presenting certificates and cheques to: • Monique Carson – Kaipara College; • Hannah Thompson - Kingsway School; • Stephanie Hazard and Jessica Pendergrast - Mahurangi College • Lucy Dowsett and Zachary Oneroa - Orewa College, noting that Laura Newman-Dempster from Rodney College was unable to attend the meeting and that her certificate and cheque would be posted to her. 10.30 a.m. Chief Executive (Vijaya Vaidyanath), Director Finance & Business (Kevin Ramsay), Director Transportation (Murray Noone), Finance Manager (Morna Macfarlane), Business Manager (Lynne Booth) and Secretarial Support Officer (Shona Alo) retired from the meeting. 10.30 – 10.50 a.m. Morning tea adjournment.
