of beach, and forested mountains. Stroll along the beach or
the shady gardens of the 17th-century Villa Durazzo in St.
Margherita, and fall in love with the picturesque fishing village
of Portofino nestled into steep mountains. Take a walking or
boat tour of Cinque Terre, a UNESCO World Heritage site of
precariously-perched cliffside towns inaccessible by car. Two
days in Livorno give you time for the treasures of Florence and
Pisa as well as the fine wines and cuisine of Tuscany. And you
may be surprised by the lovely landscapes of Elba, an island
once famous as a place of exile. Following your voyage, make
