<strong>Mali</strong> is one of the developing countries in the world. <strong>Mali</strong>’s income is not very broad because we are not<br />
next to the sea (continental). There is a lack of rain in <strong>Mali</strong>; we do not have many paved roads, and<br />
unemployment rate is very high here. <strong>Mali</strong>’s income derives from farming, fishing, animal raising. We<br />
have factories for oil, clothes and things like that. <strong>Mali</strong> makes money with cotton, peanuts and gold,<br />
because they are exported. Our soil is very rich but, we do not have enough money to buy factories to do<br />
the work. We have gold in Sadiola in the Kayes region and Morila in the Sikasso region and in many<br />
other places. Many white people (tourists) usually come between December and January. They visit<br />
Mopti, Timbuctu, Gao and Sikasso where we have old and mysterious things. All of that makes money<br />
for <strong>Mali</strong>.<br />
