You should not change the following settings without a good reason,
as they are factory settings or operating settings that are tailored to
your receiving system. New settings are only required if the reception
system is changed or expanded.
You reach the installation menu from the main menu (called up with
the key) by using the keys to navigate to
“Installation Menu” and then pressing the key to open.
Use the keys and the key to select the LNB
Confi guration option.
Note: Before every change, you should note the settings on the form at the
end of the operating manual. The satellites listed under the “Receiver “
Factory Satellite Settings” ” option are preset in the factory factory.
If the UFD 170 is being operated in conjunction with the Kathrein
turntable, nothing may be changed in the “LNB Confi guration”
menu. Changes to these settings would result in the assignment
being lost, and the turntable would not longer be able to fi nd the
satellites.
Satellite receiver systems consist of a parabolic antenna attached
to the actual receiving system (LNB or LNC), which converts the RF
signal from the satellite into a lower frequency, which can be processed
by a satellite receiver.
The satellite transmission frequencies are located in the following
ranges:
10.7-11.7 GHz Low band
11.7-12.75 GHz High band
