The COC Studio Jazz Ensemble and Lab Bands,
under the direction of KC Manji, brings back the
Musical Sounds of WWII. This was a fan-favorite
the first time, and an expanded program will cover
many popular favorites from that era, including
“Moonlight Serenade,” “Sunny Side of the Street,”
“Little Brown Jug” and many, many more.

The Studio Jazz Ensemble and Jazz Lab Bands,
under the direction of KC Manji, will usher in the
holiday season by performing everyone’s favorite
holiday songs. The audience is always welcome to
sing along at this event! Grab your singing voice
and a joyous spirit, and get ready to tap your foot
along with singer Katherine Lench-Meyering and
the COC Studio Jazz Ensemble.

The COC Studio Jazz Ensemble and Lab Bands,
under the direction of KC Manji, presents JAZZ IT!,
an evening featuring popular jazz tunes arranged
for everything from jazz combos to our 19-piece
swing band. Many musical favorites will be
featured, along with exciting jazz arrangements
by our own Dirk Fischer. The evening promises to
be an exciting beginning to our concert season.

A SPIRITUAL SPRING

The COC choirs will explore the songs of
survival; while every culture is steeped in songs
of anguish and pain there is always light at the
end of the tunnel. That need to survive and to
love is evermore powerful. Many Americans
from all ethnic backgrounds can remember
growing up with these songs. In fact, the
spiritual has come to be regarded as the first
"signature" music of the new American nation.
