Numerical Analysis of the Performance of the Coated TDR Probe • Electric field of TDR probes can be analyzed by FEMLAB. • Effective measured dielectric constant by coated probes and its sampling area can be determined from FEMLAB results. • Coated probe can reduce sampling area and energy loss. Development of a New Field TDR Scour Sensor • The field scour sensor can accurately measure scour depth. • The presented calibration can be used to determine the real dielectric constant measured by the sensor. • The sampling area of the sensor is smaller the drilled hole. • Field calibration can completed at first installation by using sensor of different length. 100
