HELPFUL HINT
1. Manual can openers can be a terrible
source of bacteria if not kept clean as
each time a can is opened, the blade
will come into contact with the contents.
These units should be thoroughly washed
and then lightly lubricated with food
grade machine oil. The Edlund model S11
and the CanPro 80001C are all SS construction.
Both are dishwasher safe.
2. A sturdy, secure table mount bracket
is important for smooth, safe operation.
Multiple mounting brackets (sold separately)
can be located throughout the
kitchen providing a cost effective method
to improve efficiency by bringing the
can opener to the work station.
Edlund openers have a reversible blade
so when it dulls and wears out, it is
simply flipped over to cut on the opposite
side. Generally, by the time the blade is
worn on both sides, the gear will then
need replacement. All parts available at
your local Russell branch. Don’t forget
to ask about how to change the gear.
There is a definite ‘easy way’ to change
it in just a few minutes.
