I send my best wishes to all members<br />
of the Royal Hong Kong Auxiliary<br />
Police Force on the occasion of its Silver<br />
Jubilee.<br />
The Force includes men and women<br />
from all walks of life and from all<br />
sections of the community. It has a fine<br />
record of loyal and distinguished service<br />
to Hong Kong over the past twenty five<br />
years. Its purpose — to assist the regular<br />
Force in carrying out its duties — has<br />
not changed during that time, but the<br />
importance and value of its contribution<br />
have grown significantly.<br />
I know I speak for all law abiding citizens<br />
when I thank you for all that you have<br />
done and are doing to keep Hong Kong<br />
a place where people can live, work and<br />
play in safety.<br />
