ERRATA BIG GAME PAMPHLET 2010 Corrections as of November 18, 2010 Page 112 (updated November 18) 4) The modern firearm westside archery deer season begins on November 24 (not 23). Page 42 (updated November 4) GMU 666 is incorrectly listed under the Western Washington November 6-16 3 pt. min. legal elk. Any elk may be harvested in GMU 666 Page 112 The Summary of 2010 Big Game General Seasons table has three errors: 1) The various end dates for the cougar season are 3/31/2011 (not 2010) 2) The modern firearm black-tailed deer season is November 18-21 (not 17-20) 3) The modern firearm white-tailed deer season is November 6-19 (not (5-19) Page 116 The Advertisement for the 2010 Buckrun Mule Deer Raffle should list the cost per raffle entry as $25. Page 13 (added May 10 & updated on May 14) The Refunds/Exchanges paragraph incorrectly states that “Exchanges of hunting license documents will not be made after the general season begins”. This should state that “Exchanges of hunting license documents will not be made after 5:00 on May 26 for those applying for special permits or after the general hunting season opens (Sept. 15 for modern and muzzleloader tag holders and Sept. 1 for archery tag holders)”. In addition, the red sentence at the end of the paragraph refers to requests for having your points reinstated if you are unable to participate in the hunt. One of the following must be met to have your points reinstated: You are active duty military personnel and are transferred or otherwise obligated and unable to participate prior to the opening of the special hunt for which you were selected (documentation is required). If you, your spouse, immediate family member, or a group member are hospitalized or under the care of a physician making it impossible for you to participate in the hunt (documentation is required). Landowners within the hunt boundary did not allow access during the time of the hunt (verification is required). When regulations are in conflict and you, through no fault of your own, cannot participate. You made a mistake while submitting your application and you were selected for an unintended hunt. The permit must be returned to WDFW and be received or postmarked before the opening day of the special hunt (verification is required). If technical difficulties occur, that are solely the fault of WDFW, and result in your application being excluded from the drawing process.
Page 18 Under late archery, the legal deer in GMU 652 is Any Buck. In the pamphlet the unit appears in both the Any Deer and the Any Buck categories. It should only be in Any Buck. Page 22 The GMUs for Hunt choice 1101 are correct, but the hunt was mistakenly named “East”. The GMUs for Hunt choice 1102 are correct, but the hunt was mistakenly named “West”. Page 25 For the second deer category under the notes at the top, the notes should only include the following text: Notes: You must purchase a second deer tag to participate in this hunt and the second tag can only be used in the permit hunt. The second tag must be the same weapon choice as your first tag. Page 28 The GMUs for Hunt choice 1500 are correct, but the hunt was mistakenly named “East”. The GMUs for Hunt choice 1501 are correct, but the hunt was mistakenly named “West”. Page 33 (added May 14) The “Notes” section for the Master Hunter permit hunts listed at the bottom of the page incorrectly states that “A second tag must be purchased if selected for indicated hunts below.” A second tag is not required for these hunts. The Notes section should read: “You may hunt only with the hunting method in compliance with your tag. If purchased, the second tag can only be used during the permit hunt. Your first tag can be used to take a deer during this hunt. Second tags must be the same weapon choice as your first tag. Only 1 deer may be taken per deer tag.” Page 12 (added May 10) The cost for a non-resident additional turkey tag is incorrectly listed as $17.30. It should be $72.50 Page 59 (added May 5) Under the Commonly Asked Questions section: the last sentence reading “Individuals selected for a cougar permit must sign and return an affidavit indicating they read the materials an own a dog capable of tracking and baying a cougar” should read “Individuals selected for a cougar permit must sign and return an affidavit indicating they read the materials” the last part of the sentence should be deleted. As of this year this requirement no longer applies.
