Big Sister’s volunteers or staff, however do not reflect this diversity. In 2009, we formed a Diversity Council comprised of current and former Big Sisters, staff, Board Members, and community leaders who were committed to increasing the number of volunteers and staff of color as well as augmenting the cultural competency of Big Sister Association.
