(At Plio-Pleistocene transition 3 large volcanic centres in Barisan Mts., Sumatra, began producing large
amounts of felsic tephra and pyroclastic flows. At Toba perhaps 4 paroxysmal events between 1.9 Ma- ~30 ka.
Centres marked by 100's of m of ignimbrite, pyroclastic tuffs and air-fall tephra. Air-fall tuff identified
throughout Peninsular Malaysia, up to 1m thick and generally attributed to single 'Toba eruption' at 70-75 ka,
but possibly multiple eruptions)
