provinces. Along shore <strong>Sumatra</strong> and Java augites, hypersthenes and hornblendes <strong>of</strong> probable Tertiary volcanic<br />

source. Metamorphic andalusite and staurolite along Borneo coast, epidote and blue-green hornblende<br />

prominent in S China Sea area. Epidote, glaucophane, zircon, and rutile common in Meratus-Pulau Laut group,<br />

derived from dynamic metamorphic rocks <strong>of</strong> Bobaris-Meratus Mts. Also picotite from ultrabasic rocks)<br />
