Article VIII
1. This Agreement shall enter into force on the date of the receipt of
second notification by which the Parties notify the completion of their
respective internal procedures.
2. This Agreement shall remain in force for a period of one year and shall
be automatically renewed for one year periods unless either Party
informs the other Party, through diplomatic channels, at least three
months prior to the expiry of the validity period of this Agreement of its
intention to terminate this Agreement.
Done on 15 th day of June 2003 in English and Turkish languages,
both texts being equally authentic. In case of any discrepancy in the text
or disagreement in interpretation, the English text shall prevail.

Distinguished Members of the
Parliament, Excellencies,
Distinguished Guests,
Ladies and Gentlemen,
I wish to convey my profound gratitude for your gracious invitation to
me to speak to the distinguished members of the Turkish
Grand National Assembly on Pakistan's relations with Turkey and major
contemporary issues.
I feel especially privileged in addressing you because I know that
yours is one of the most vocal and influential parliaments in the Western
