Jacky Botterill will lead a workshop on Egg Tempera painting - the<br />
technique used to create ancient frescos and icons. Come and mix your<br />
own paint from egg and natural pigments and create your own design<br />
on a prepared wooden panel. Adults and children over <strong>10</strong> (children<br />

This renowned international ensemble under<br />
their Director Paul McCreesh will perform<br />
Handel’s Acis & Galatea with Mhairi Lawson<br />
(soprano) as Galatea, James Oxley (tenor)<br />
as Acis plus other soloists and orchestra.<br />
Acis & Galatea is a delightful pastoral sung<br />
in English of the tale of two lovers torn apart<br />
by a jealous giant. Handel’s elegant music<br />
makes it one of his most popular works. It<br />
will be preceded by Handel’s Oboe Concerto No. 3 and by pieces for<br />
recorders involving players from <strong>Purbeck</strong> and beyond who will have<br />
had a workshop with the Gabrieli that morning.<br />
