Santa is coming Saturday<br />
Santa Claus will be making his first<br />
*op in Livonia when he is welcomed<br />
by a mini-parade at noon, Saturtlay,<br />
Nov. 15, at Wonderland Center,<br />
Plymouth Road at Middle Belt.<br />
Tbe parade will start at 11:30 a.m.<br />

and will be led by the award-winning<br />
majorettes, ages five through 14, from<br />
the Livonia^Red<strong>for</strong>d Dad's Club of St.<br />
Robert's Church. A marching band<br />
will follow them.<br />

Indian artist to join<br />
Rosedale art show<br />
Memories of a childhood spent on<br />
an Indian reservation in Ontario are<br />
reflected in the works of art to be exhibited<br />
by Barbara Kurtz Saturday.<br />
Nov. 15 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m in<br />
Rosedale Elementary School.' 9825<br />
Cranston. Livonia.<br />
Ms. Kurtz, whose works are a combination<br />
of three separate arts (paper<br />
tole. sculpture and repousse». is a<br />
Delaware Indian who was raised on<br />
the Muncie Indian Reservation in<br />
southern Ontario.<br />
She will join 40 artisLs and craftsmen<br />
who will be displaying their work<br />
at the "Grandma's Attic" arts and<br />
crafts show sponsored by the Family<br />
Faculty of Rosedale School, <strong>for</strong>merly<br />
a PTA group.<br />
SCHEDULED AS exhibitors are a<br />
wood worker, a glass blower, an oil<br />
painter and specialisLs in Indian jewelry<br />
and graphics.<br />
I^anie Anderson will be on hand to<br />
lecture on plants at the plant booth.<br />
There will be a children's workshop<br />
where youngsters can make Christmas<br />
ornaments and a Santa's secret<br />
workshop where they can shop.<br />
Grandma's Trunk will hold the kind<br />
of treasures usually found at garage<br />
sales. A lunch room, a bake sale and<br />
children's cartoons are also planned.<br />

MS. KURTZ has recently been work<br />
ing on a project <strong>for</strong> the Canadian government.<br />
