Santa is coming Saturday
Santa Claus will be making his first
*op in Livonia when he is welcomed
by a mini-parade at noon, Saturtlay,
Nov. 15, at Wonderland Center,
Plymouth Road at Middle Belt.
Tbe parade will start at 11:30 a.m.

and will be led by the award-winning
majorettes, ages five through 14, from
the Livonia^Redford Dad's Club of St.
Robert's Church. A marching band
will follow them.

Indian artist to join
Rosedale art show
Memories of a childhood spent on
an Indian reservation in Ontario are
reflected in the works of art to be exhibited
by Barbara Kurtz Saturday.
Nov. 15 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m in
Rosedale Elementary School.' 9825
Cranston. Livonia.
Ms. Kurtz, whose works are a combination
of three separate arts (paper
tole. sculpture and repousse». is a
Delaware Indian who was raised on
the Muncie Indian Reservation in
southern Ontario.
She will join 40 artisLs and craftsmen
who will be displaying their work
at the "Grandma's Attic" arts and
crafts show sponsored by the Family
Faculty of Rosedale School, formerly
a PTA group.
SCHEDULED AS exhibitors are a
wood worker, a glass blower, an oil
painter and specialisLs in Indian jewelry
and graphics.
I^anie Anderson will be on hand to
lecture on plants at the plant booth.
There will be a children's workshop
where youngsters can make Christmas
ornaments and a Santa's secret
workshop where they can shop.
Grandma's Trunk will hold the kind
of treasures usually found at garage
sales. A lunch room, a bake sale and
children's cartoons are also planned.
