It didn’t initially appear anything had been taken. n n n n n n n A Timber Hill Drive resident of Burney reported Sunday at 3:32 a.m. waking, finding her front door open and footprints in the snow. It wasn’t known if anything was missing from the home. n n n n n n n A Burney caller reported Sunday at 8:51 a.m. finding a juvenile, about age 4, wandering in the snow and crying in front of the caller’s residence on Superior Avenue. The juvenile was carrying a backpack full of toys and said he was going to school. The caller said he couldn’t understand anything else the youth was saying. n n n n n n n Deputies arrested Travis Linares on a warrant Sunday at 2:17 p.m. at the 37200 block of Cypress Avenue in Burney. n n n n n n n Two subjects, Calli Bagnaschi and Joshua A. Watkins, were arrested on warrants Sunday at 10:20 p.m. in the Big Bend area. n n n n n n n An incomplete 911 call Saturday at 10:08 a.m. disconnected after a female was heard saying “get someone to Windy Point right now.” A male could be heard yelling in the background, but when dispatchers attempted to call back the telephone number, the call went to voice mail. n n n n n n n A residential burglary was reported Saturday at the 37000 block of Park Avenue in Burney. n n n n n n n Trespassers were reported Saturday at 11:03 a.m. at the 20200 area of Jack Rabbit Flat Road at the west end of Burney. The caller said she new the male trespasser but couldn’t identify the female with him. n n n n n n n The Shasta County bomb squad, which includes a Burney deputy, was called Saturday at 11:40 a.m. for a suspicious package in Trinity County. A caller said he saw a male subject place a 3-by-5-inch box in a post office box while wearing blue gloves. The caller asked him what the object was and the glove-wearing subject said “donuts” and then ran away. n n n n n n n An argument between two women was reported Saturday at 2:14 p.m. at the 36800 area of Highway 299 in Burney. The first woman said she was under threat from the second woman. The second woman said she was kicked out of the residence and forced to stand outside in the cold with inadequate clothing while waiting for a ride. n n n n n n n Deputies were asked to assist at the scene of an overturned Jeep Wagoneer off of Highway 299 west of Burney Saturday at 1:03 p.m. as the closest CHP unit was an hour away. n n n n n n n Several vehicles on Birch and Sugar Loaf lanes in Old Station were reported Saturday afternoon ransacked. n n n n n n n A woman called deputies Saturday afternoon asking them to check on her personal belongings that reportedly were put outside in the rain and snow of her ex-boyfriend’s residence on Tamarack Avenue. She was told the sheriff’s office is not a moving company. n n n n n n n An abandoned vehicle was reported by the volunteer Fall River Valley citizens patrol Saturday evening parked off the side of the roadway near Day Road and Highway 299. n n n n n n n A woman was reported stealing items by putting them down her shirt at Rite Aid in Burney Saturday at 8:02 p.m. The woman was seen leaving the store with a second subject, both wearing hoodies and one carrying a backpack. n n n n n n n A mother reported Friday at 8:35 a.m. a suspicious van parked near Highways 89 and 299. She believed two subjects were sleeping inside with one of them being her runaway son. She disconnected, however, before more information could be obtained. n n n n n n n A caller reported a known subject had pried open an apartment window with a knife at the 37200 block of Superior Avenue in Burney and attempted to climb inside Friday morning. n n n n n n n A Big Bend caller reported Friday at 11:17 a.m. his next-door neighbor was pointing a gun at five subjects. The gun-toting man reportedly accused the five of selling drugs, to which he objected. Deputies arrested one person on a warrant, but it wasn’t clear who that was as all names and addresses were redacted on the logbook. n n n n n n n A caller asked deputies Friday to check on the welfare of six juveniles, ages 10-16, who were living on Superior Avenue in Burney. The caller said she hadn’t seen any parents in the three months the juveniles were living there, wasn’t sure if they had any food, but knew they shoplifted constantly. n n n n n n n A Pine Shadows Road resident reported Friday at 10:19 p.m. hearing noises outside her residence. She checked outside, but didn’t see any prints in the snow. n n n n n n n A caller reported Friday at 10:45 p.m. a vehicle blocking the westbound lane of Highway 299 near the gun club west of Fall River Mills. n n n n n n n A Burney father reported Thursday his juvenile son was on probation, hadn’t been home in two weeks, was living at a McArthur residence and is not attending school. n n n n n n n An ongoing issue the past 18 months with a barking dog was reported Thursday at the 20600 block of Senior Court in Burney. n n n n n n n Indiscriminate shooting was reported Thursday at 6:54 p.m. near the 20200 block of Sugar Pine Street in Burney. n n n n n n n A customer reportedly dined and dashed when he didn’t pay his $22.29 dinner bill Thursday just before 7:40 p.m. at the Blackberry restaurant in Burney. n n n n n n n A caller reported two suspicious subjects were giving away candy on Main Street in Burney Thursday evening. n n n n n n n An ongoing problem of a neighbor’s burglar alarm sounding was reported on Roff Way in Burney Dec. 12. The caller asked deputies to reset the alarm, as her neighbor never remembers to do so. n n n n n n n Bob Scalf reported Dec. 12 the theft of aluminum wheels from Cassel Road. n n n n n n n A Burney caller reported the theft of a laptop and cellular telephone Dec. 12 by a known subject. n n n n n n n A Burney caller reported Dec. 12 at 8:42 p.m. her husband’s aunt was outside the couple’s Ash Avenue home and knocking on the door. She said the aunt was refusing to leave after being told to do so. n n n n n n n A verbal argument and vandalism to a Volkswagen Beetle was reported Dec. 12 at the 43100 area of Highway 299 in Fall River Mills. n n n n n n n A Hat Creek caller reported hearing a subject scream for help and glass breaking Dec. 11 just before 1:35 a.m. off of Highway 89 about one mile north of the former Maahcooatche store. n n n n n n n Human remains, believed most likely at an ancient burial site, were found Dec. 11 on PG&E land on the east side of the Pit River near the Cassel Fall River bridge.
