This optional complex element identifies the domain name for the user-defined Type-2 logical<br />

record implementation. If present, the domain name may only appear once within a transaction.<br />

It shall consist <strong>of</strong> one or two information items. One m<strong>and</strong>atory child information item will<br />

uniquely identify the agency, entity, or implementation used for formatting the content in the Type-<br />

2 record. Another optional child information item will contain the unique version <strong>of</strong> the particular<br />

implementation. The default value for the domain name shall be the North American Domain<br />

implementation “NORAM”.<br />
